Water-TAP3 is available via GitHub.
The Water Technoeconomic Assessment Pipe-Parity Platform (Water-TAP3) facilitates consistent technoeconomic assessments of desalination treatment trains. Water-TAP3 is an analytically robust platform to evaluate water technology cost, energy, environmental, and resiliency tradeoffs across different water sources, sectors, and scales. Water-TAP3 uses open-source models and data indexed in the Water Data and Analysis Management Systems (Water DAMS) platform, NAWI’s primary data repository.
About
Water-TAP3 is a flexible and customizable tool that enables users to adapt process models to assess performance for their specific conditions and specifications. The tool allows users to also create process models for other treatment steps that are outside of NAWI’s research scope. Water-TAP3 also enables users to:
- Baseline the state of existing water technologies across key water-using economic sectors.
- Roadmap critical technology development priorities to achieve pipe parity.
- Perform ongoing project evaluation for NAWI funded research.
- Conduct technoeconomic and life-cycle assessments of water technologies and systems across the water industry.
